Maurie West brings more than 12 years of management, tax and accounting experience to the Preston team as its top Tax Manager. In his extensive role, he manages tax reporting, planning and compliance for both individual and corporate clients of the firm –ensuring tax returns are completed with accuracy, minimizing tax obligations.
Before joining Preston CPA Maurie was a member of management in a privately-held US Fortune 500 organization. He holds an MBA from Everest University with a focus in Accounting. As a licensed CPA, Enrolled Agent and certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor West’s extensive experience has allowed him to become quite the financial expert. He’s chosen to spend his life helping people sleep easier, from saving client’s tax dollars, handling a business’s payroll, to ensuring the proper handling of IRS notices he takes pride in what he does and does it well.
When he is not giving clients peace of mind, you can find him trying to win father of the year award, chowing down on some peanut butter, training to win more Obstacle Course Racing (OCR) awards or competing in the next big Triathlon.
